Frequently Asked Questions

How does direct billing work at your Hamilton office?

We handle the paperwork for you. By offering direct billing, we submit claims to your insurance provider at the time of your appointment. This reduces your out-of-pocket costs and eliminates the hassle of manual reimbursement forms, making your therapy services seamless and stress-free.

Can I switch between in-person and virtual therapy?

Yes. We understand that your schedule may change. You are welcome to alternate between visiting our local offices and attending secure video sessions, providing you with the flexibility to maintain your mental health care even during busy weeks.

Is there really no waitlist?

That is our priority. Because Nova Phoenix Counselling Services maintains a large and diverse team of practitioners, we have the capacity to intake new clients immediately. We believe that the moment you are ready for change is the moment you should receive support.

What should I expect from walking therapy?

Walking therapy combines the benefits of movement with traditional therapeutic techniques. Many clients in the surrounding areas find that being outdoors reduces the clinical feel of therapy and helps them process difficult emotions more naturally. We offer this as a refreshing alternative to office-based sessions.
