She works with people navigating relationship stress, trauma, grief, separation, divorce, and the lasting impacts of domestic violence or coercive control. Cathy understands the complexity of both personal healing and relational dynamics, and she helps clients move forward with greater clarity and confidence. Her approach is rooted in anti-oppressive, trauma-informed, and strengths-based practices. Cathy tailors her work to each person or couple, drawing from a range of therapeutic models, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and other evidence-informed practices. As a member of the LGBTQ+ community, Cathy brings both personal insight and professional experience to creating and inclusive, affirming environment. She is committed to providing care that is respectful, identity-affirming, and attuned to the unique challenges that LGBTQ+ individuals and couples may face. Cathy is a warm, honest therapist who brings both empathy and clear perspective into the room. She understands how systemic issues like racism, homophobia, transphobia, and other forms of oppression can shape mental health and relationships. Clients often say they feel safe, validated, and supported in her presence. Whether you're feeling stuck, rebuilding after a breakup, working through past trauma, or looking to strengthen your connection with your partner, Cathy will meet you with compassion, curiosity, and the kind of grounded support that helps real change happen.
