Melissa is a Registered Social Worker who completed her Bachelor of Social Work degree from Niagara University. She continued her education by obtaining her Master of Social Work degree from University at Buffalo. Melissa has been working with adolescents since 2016, and has additional experience counselling students, adults and families. She is passionate about creating a safe space for clients to create change and achieve their goals. Melissa understands it can be difficult to seek therapeutic support. She offers compassion, empathy, and active listening alongside a strength- based, and person- centered approach. Melissa has training in Cognitive Behavioural Theory (CBT), Crisis Intervention, and Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT).
