Lindsay is a Registered Social Worker with a Bachelor of Indigenous Social Work and is completing her Master of Social Work at the University of Waterloo. Lindsay offers a relational, culturally safe, insight-oriented approach to therapy and has walked the path of her own therapy healing journey for over 17 years. Lindsay works with individuals ages 10 and older and has a particular focus on teens, adult women, and women identifying individuals. Lindsay’s practice is grounded in feminist, anti-racist and holistic frameworks that honour the interconnected nature of physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual wellbeing. She also loves a good internet meme and is cool with the kids. Lindsay supports individuals navigating a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, stress, life transitions, relationship challenges, and identity exploration. Her areas of strength include working with youth and adults who are formally diagnosed with, or are curious about Autism, ADHD, burnout, executive dysfunction, and ARFID (Avoidant Intake Food Disorder) or other eating disorder related concerns. As a social worker with personal experience of disordered eating and late diagnosed Autism, Lindsay understands how emotional regulation, executive dysfunction, sensory processing, and body image pressures can influence eating behaviours. Lindsay works from a non-weight-focused approach when working with clients who are experiencing eating related concerns and works with you to foster a sense of wellness towards your goals. Lindsay has a special interest and skill in supporting clients who are processing emotionally complex or invalidating family and interpersonal relationship dynamics. She has significant lived experience navigating high-conflict family systems. She understands that emotional and mental abuse within these systems can be challenging to articulate to others, particularly when they involve subtle forms of control, gaslighting, and erosion of self-trust that may not be immediately visible to others. Lindsay brings both professional training and lived experience to her practice approaches. She draws on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), storytelling approaches, and external family systems theory to support clients in their unique healing goals.
