Beth is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) completing her Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Child and Youth Studies with a Minor in Psychology. While attending Brock University, she completed an independent thesis which examined perfectionism and social comparison among young female competitive dancers.
Beth is passionate about supporting children, adolescents, and their families in navigating emotional, behavioural, social, and developmental challenges. Her professional experience spans child welfare, residential care, and early childhood settings, providing her with a strong understanding of child and youth development and the unique needs of young people across diverse environments.
Beth's therapeutic approach is trauma-informed, client-centred, and collaborative. She strives to create a safe, supportive, and engaging environment where children and youth feel understood, empowered, and comfortable exploring their experiences. She values working alongside families and caregivers when appropriate, recognizing the important role they play in a child's growth, well-being, and success.
Drawing from an integrative therapeutic framework, Beth supports clients in building emotional awareness, strengthening coping skills, enhancing resilience, and developing confidence in navigating life's challenges. She tailors therapy to each client's unique strengths, needs, and goals, helping them foster meaningful and lasting change.
Beth incorporates elements of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Narrative Therapy, Strengths-Based Therapy, and Person-Centred Therapy into her work.
