Megan is a Registered Psychotherapist. Megan has obtained a Bachelor Honours of Science degree as well as her Master of Applied Disability Studies from Brock University. Megan then went on to achieve her Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology degree from Yorkville University.
Megan has a special interest in supporting couples and families. She is skilled in fostering healthy communication, managing interpersonal conflict, setting healthy boundaries, as well as helping couples and families to manage their emotions skillfully. Megan is committed to the people she supports, always putting them first while focusing on their innate strengths and wisdom. Megan is highly skilled at crisis intervention, risk assessment, and providing consultation to families of a loved one who is struggling and needing guidance on how to effectively support them.
Megan is happy to support individuals, families and couples in working through interpersonal conflict, healthy communication, infidelity, parenting, trauma, anxiety, stress, and depression. She utilizes a compassionate, supportive, empowering approach to aid you in taking power back over your life. Megan is a Certified Trauma Professional (CPT-I) and an Associate member under the supervision of an Approved Board of Examiners in Sex Therapy and Counselling in Ontario Supervisor (BESTCO).
Megan has training and experience in the following therapeutic modalities: Eye Movement-Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), Mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), The Gottman Method, and Family therapy
