Joanne Towers is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) currently completing a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University. With over 25 years of experience in developmental services and mental health, Joanne brings a wealth of knowledge and compassion to her practice. Throughout her career, Joanne supported youth and adults with developmental disabilities, neurodivergence, and mental health, as well as, parents and caregivers. Joanne is most passionate about advocating for individuals from marginalized communities. In her clinical practice, Joanne works with persons experiencing challenges related to anxiety, depression, communication skills, self-esteem, healthy relationships, and self-regulation. Her approach is grounded in a trauma-informed lens and guided by the belief that therapy should be collaborative and tailored to each person's unique needs.Drawing from an eclectic and individualized approach, Joanne integrates elements of:
