Jason grew up in Wiarton, Ontario and was a competitive athlete in hockey, baseball and tennis. Jason is a Registered Psychotherapist having completed his Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology degree from Yorkville University. He has over 20 years of experience working with families, teens and parents. He also has experience working individually with adults and collaboratively with couples. He also has experience working with athletes helping them manage the stress and pressure of their sport and improve their self-confidence to help improve their performance. Jason also supports individuals who are struggling with anxiety, depression, ADHD, self-esteem, history of trauma and school related concerns. Jason takes a calm, collaborative, and a non-judgmental approach with his clients to ensure clients feel comfortable in sessions. Jason has training using various approaches such as: Collaborative Problem Solving, Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT), Solution Focused Therapy (SFT), Trauma Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Family Therapy, Exposure Therapy and Behavioural Activation. Jason creates a space where you will feel genuinely supported, listened to and not rushed working at your own pace. He will work beside you every step of the way helping you achieve your goals one step at a time. He will offer encouragement and provide guidance to you so you can cope with life’s toughest moments.
