Iris is a Registered Psychotherapist who completed her Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University. Prior to this, Iris completed her Bachelors in Community Health Science at Brock, and a Masters in Development Studies at York University. Iris has over 10 years of experience supporting individuals experiencing crisis and trauma, with a focus on those impacted by domestic violence and human trafficking. She excels in supporting individuals struggling with loss, grief, and trauma, as well as those with low self-esteem, depression, anxiety, and relationship struggles. Iris’s compassionate, responsive, and caring approach creates a warm and supportive environment to begin your restorative journey. A foundational respect for your unique struggles, strengths and capacities infuses her collaborative therapeutic approach. Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement-Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) Positive Psychology, Person-Centred Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Trauma informed therapy are some of the theories Iris applies in her sessions.
