Gajany is a Registered Psychotherapist. She completed her Honours Bachelor degree in Neuroscience and Mental Health Studies at the University of Toronto and then her Master of Arts in Counselling degree from Yorkville University. Gajany is a firm believer that individuals hold the natural ability to change their lives in a meaningful way. She recognizes how our lived experiences intertwine with our identity and relationships and acknowledges that embarking on change can be intimidating as it entails embracing new experiences, vulnerability, and challenges. A patient, grounded approach rooted in empathy and respect, Gajany offers a safe space where individuals are affirmed, listened to, and encouraged to be who they are as they take those pivotal first steps towards personal growth. Gajany works with children, youth and adults looking to make improvements in their mental health, relationships, stress management, as well as relationship with their sense of self and identity. Gajany is a neuro-affirming practitioner with extensive experience supporting autistic children and their families. Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Positive Psychology, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Person-Centred Therapy, Solutions-Focused Therapy and Mindfulness Based Therapy are just some of the theories Gajany is trained in and enjoys utilizing in her sessions.
