Jessica Lintlop is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) currently completing her Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Toronto and brings a diverse background in crisis line support, high stress jobs, sales, marketing, and volunteer work with vulnerable populations.
Jessica works with youth, teens, adults, and couples navigating a range of mental health concerns and life challenges, including anxiety, depression, stress, burnout, emotional overwhelm, trauma, grief and loss, low self-esteem, perfectionism, people-pleasing, relationship difficulties, attachment concerns, identity exploration, and life transitions. She also supports individuals who feel stuck, disconnected from themselves, or are looking to better understand their experiences and develop healthier patterns of coping and relating to others.
Jessica understands that reaching out for therapy can feel difficult, particularly when you are navigating experiences that feel overwhelming or difficult to make sense of. She strives to create a space where clients feel heard, respected, and understood, and where they can explore their experiences openly and without judgment. Her approach is warm, compassionate, and collaborative, recognizing each client's unique experiences, strengths, and goals.
Jessica takes an integrative approach to therapy, drawing from Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Person-Centred Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing, Internal Family Systems (IFS)-informed parts work, and mindfulness-based approaches. She tailors her approach to each client's needs, combining practical strategies and skill-building with deeper exploration of emotions, relationships, and patterns that may be influencing their lives. Her goal is to help clients build self-awareness, strengthen emotional regulation, develop healthier coping strategies, and work toward meaningful, lasting change.
Outside of her work, Jessica enjoys spending time with her family, being outdoors, playing volleyball, and reading. She looks forward to supporting clients as they navigate life's challenges, deepen their understanding of themselves, and move toward a more meaningful and fulfilling life.
