Hi, I'm Preanka, a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University. I understand that taking the first step toward therapy can feel intimidating, and it isn't always easy to open up to someone new. My goal is to create a warm, supportive, and non-judgmental space where you feel comfortable being yourself and sharing your story at your own pace.
I believe that therapy isn't one-size-fits-all. Every person brings their own experiences, strengths, and challenges, which is why I take an integrative, client-centered approach to care. I primarily draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution-Focused Therapy, and I am also trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). Together, we'll find an approach that feels meaningful and fits your goals.
As someone who values culturally responsive care, I believe your identity, background, and lived experiences are important parts of the therapeutic process. Whether you're struggling with anxiety, depression, relationship concerns, workplace stress, trauma, or simply feeling stuck, I'm here to support you with empathy, compassion, and practical strategies that help you move toward lasting growth and well-being.
You don't have to navigate life's challenges alone. I'm here to walk alongside you, helping you discover your strengths and move toward meaningful change.
