Sarit is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying). They received formal training at the University of Toronto in the Spiritual Care and Psychotherapy stream of the Masters of Pastoral Studies program and are indebted to the in-depth institutional training received there. Sarit also uplifts and works to honour the training they continue to receive from the living lineages of their ancestors, the waterways that surround and sustain them, and the land-based relationships that they practice and cultivate as part of their healing work. With a strong focus on trauma-informed, anti-oppressive and spiritually-oriented practice, Sarit roots their healing work in teachings from disability justice movements, healing justice work and a belief that belonging is a collective and sacred responsibility. They strive to tend to those on the edges and those who have been marginalized or historically made to feel unwelcome in healing spaces. With over 10 years of experience in the overlapping areas of social work, spiritual care, grief counselling, group facilitation and healing and relational repair work, Sarit has worked with people who struggle with grief, addiction, suicidality, those surviving systemic violence and intergenerational trauma. As a queer, non-binary, neurodivergent therapist, they are committed to serving members of their extended communities. Sarit’s therapeutic work is focused on empathy, justice, community empowerment and transformation through finding meaning and purpose. Honouring the profound wisdom that already exists within each client, they strive for the care they offer to be a bridge to trust, connection and sacred presence with all those they support.
